Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Happy Holidays!

Today I thought I’d share some “festive” photos that I’ve taken this past month before the holidays pass us by in the blink of an eye. I didn’t get to all of my to-do list but we did make it to Balboa Island and we got to see the Newport Boat parade – both which were so fun! I also did a holiday outfit shoot for Glitter Guide this month which I had a great time doing. I styled 3 outfits with Gap Factory and we shot it over by Lido Marina Village which is a must-visit if you live in the area or are passing by. It’s the cutest little area filled with pretty shops, great drinks, food and a harbor view. All the outfit photos were shot but the super talented Ariane Moshayedi.

I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Lots of love!

Pretty Little Things: Cute Gifts & Things On My Wishlist

2016-12-02_12-04-13Hello Weekend!

I’m excited to share some fun things that I’ve found and have been loving – which coincidentally would be great gifts for someone on your list! When it comes to gifts, I typically don’t love to give clothing or specific makeup/beauty items unless I have a specific link and size that was given to me. I’d rather give something fun or quirky or something that shows that you spent a little more time looking for something special. Often, that ends up being home decor finds, notebooks, candles etc. but I took a look on Etsy and some of my other favorite non-mainstream stores (for the most part) and rounded up some cool finds! Most things are under $50, everything is under $100.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like!

These are generally more home, food and drink finds…

More home and decor finds…

Woven Wall Hanging ($41.98) these are generally one of a kind but there are so many wonderful finds on Etsy // Large Fire Apothecary Match Bottle ($30) // Marble Hexagon Wooden Coasters Set of Four ($25) // Pink Porcelain Bowl, Watercolour, Gold Lustre, Pink Ceramics ($13.06) // Wonderful Needlepoint Pillow ($42) // Bridesmaids “Help me I’m poor.” Cross Stitch ($15) another one of my favorite things – there are a bunch of different ones on Etsy // Marble Ring Dish ($21.25) // Mon Amour Matchbox ($7) // “Burnin’ For You” Extra Large Matchbox ($11) // Plumed Flamingo Ornament ($20) // Blue Marbleized Taper Vase ($30)

Beauty and pamper gifts…

Vintage Edition Holly Golightly Sleep Mask ($28) // French Girl Lip Polish ($15) absolutely love this brand // Under Eye Oil ($18) // Crème Lumière ($24) // Jonathan Adler Bourbon Pop Candle ($42) // Sweet guava fairy crystals soap ($7.50) how beautiful are these soaps? There are so many other versions in this particular shop // Lumière Body Oil ($70) // Honey Wildflower Bath Bomb Fizzie ($4.17)

Movies, music & books…

You’ve Got Mail (Deluxe Edition) ($5.97) // The First Wives Club ($5.97) // Something’s Gotta Give ($14.99) // The Lumineers ($15.98) // Beauty at Home ($60) // Dreaming Small: Intimate Interiors ($45) // India Hicks: Island Style ($45)

I love the idea of giving a few movies with a theme (obviously one that that person likes). For example, a collection of Nancy Meyers movies (rom-com love), Judd Apatow movies, anything with Reese Witherspoon – you get the idea. I’m also still a fan of CDs, especially to listen to in the car. If you are so inclined to make a mix CD, those are always fun! I’m a bit of a coffee table book hoarder as well. There are so many cool ones out there in all different categories and subjects. Right now, I’m really into interiors. I think it’s fun to browse around for books for people on your list — or just for yourself!
