October 2016

Despite the recent heatwave in Southern California, I’ve been trying to get into the fall mood lately. I picked up some mini pumpkins from Trader Joe’s, bought some pumpkin spice coffee for my new Keurig, picked up a fall candle and am looking forward to trying some new recipes this season! Here is my mood board for October 2016:1

I’ve picked up a few sweaters for this upcoming season as well because most of the sweaters I own are from 5 years ago. They are all super affordable if anyone is interested:

I also bought this Sport sweater from Zara ($25) & this light knit ($19.90) – also from Zara.

Hope your month is off to a great start!

Abby Cooks?

IMG_5023I don’t know why, but I’ve been inspired to cook and try different things since moving into our new place.  Whether its going through Pinterest or browsing different products at Trader Joes, I’ve definitely been in the mood to experiment. Not that anything I make is turning out right – my cooking is definitely a work in progress – but things got fairly serious when I decided to spend some money on a cookbook. And not just any cookbook, Gwyneth Paltrow‘s cook book.

If that’s not legit, I don’t know what is (lol). Anyway, so far I’ve tried her fried egg sandwich and I’m looking forward to trying a lot more of her recipes! I’ve seen a bunch of other cookbooks that look fun and interesting to me and I’ve rounded them up below. If you have any of these and like them or have other recommendations for cookbooks please let me know!
